Effective: 01-10-2021
Any identifiable information (e.g. name, email, phone number, mailing address) collected through the user interface of our products are used solely for one of the following reasons.
1) Account Recovery
In the event that a customer loses the account credentials for one of our products, he/she can request us to recover his/her account by providing a sufficient amount of identifiable information that should already be stored in our records. If we deem that the requester is indeed the owner of the locked account, we will send the instructions necessary to recover the account via a commmunications channel that the requester had supplied to us when creating his/her account.
2) Product Notifications
When a customer wishes to send and receive notifications with another customer, he/she can request us to send an invite to the latter customer by supplying a means of commmunication such as a phone number or email address. If the identifiable information of the latter customer is already in our records, we assume he/she is a current customer and will forward the invite through all channels of communication currently enabled by the latter customer (e.g. email, text, in-product notification dialog). However, if we deem that the latter customer is not actively using our products, then we will forward the invite using the information provided by the requester and we will not store it in our records. If the latter customer does create an acccount with one of our products at a later date, we will store his/her identifiable information then. All accepted invites will result in us using the stored identifiable information to forward notifications to all interested parties regarding an event triggered by a given customer (e.g. getting a new high score).
3) Financial Requirements
Some of our finance-oriented products require us to share the identifiable information of a given customer with third-party financial services in order to legally process financial transactions. Additionally, a select few of these products require the customer to share his/her email or mailing address with other customers so that they can use our platform to deliver a memorable experience for the aformentioned customer.
4) Product Communications
Any communications amongst customers via in-product channels will remain encrypted on our records. Should a customer be flagged for violating our User Agreement (e.g. not being civil with other customers), we will retrieve the keys needed to decrypt the conversations and review the flagged content.
5) Legal Obligations
As required under a reasonable interpretation of the law, we may disclose identifiable information to assist in ongoing court cases and to prevent the occcurence of criminal acts.
